The Blackstone Group LP (Ticker: BX) is rumored to be planning to buy the Motel 6/Studio 6 chains, backed by a trio of banks: JPMorgan Chase & Co. (Ticker: JPM), Deutsche Bank AG (Ticker: DBK) and Citigroup Inc. (Ticker: C). About $1,000,000,000 in bonds are rumored to be part of the deal, said to be taking place in October.
