As it turns out, there is no set price for hotel rooms, even by the same hotel chain. Rates change by location, and even by time of year.
For example, we tried to book a room this coming Sunday at a Hampton Inn located in NYC. In doing so we found we could get a room for as low of $139 at (Hampton Inn Manhattan-35th St/Empire State Bldg), to a high of $199 at (Hampton Inn Brooklyn/Downtown).
We then took a look in Mississippi and found we could get a room for a low of $84 at (Hampton Inn Tupelo), with a high only reaching $139 at (Hampton Inn & Suites Natchez).
