How many people visit the US national parks?

Total recreation visitors to the national parks in 2015 was 307,247,252. For more detailed information, see the National Park Service Visitor Use Statistics page.

The largest national park site is the remote Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve in Alaska. At 13.2 million acres, it would take six Yellowstone National Parks (2.2 million-acre )to fill Wrangell-St. Elias.

Hot Springs, on the other hand is the smallest of the 59 national parks in the country. The Arkansas park is so small (5,550 acres) that it could fit into Wrangell-St. Elias National Park nearly 2,400 times
