Floyd Mayweather Jr finished 84-6 as an amateur and 50-0 professionally since 1996.
Mayweather's pre-professional career ended on a bitter note. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, he lost a controversial decision to Bulgaria's Serafim Todorov and was forced to settle for a bronze medal.
Mayweather turned professional on October 11, 1996. As a pro, Mayweather continued to win at an astonishing rate.
After defeating Conor McGregor by technical knockout before a crowd of 14,623 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 26, 2017, Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s record is now 50-0, surpassing Rocky Marciano, who went 49-0.
Mayweather said that the McGregor fight was the last of his career. When pressed by the interviewer about whether he would return for a 51st fight if presented by another big payday, Mayweather continued, saying it was his last fight "for sure."
As per Businessinsider.com, Mayweather made $100 million for the fight, with the chance to earn up to $250 million if the pay-per-views exceeded 4.6 million.
