How do diarrhea and constipation disrupt homeostasis in humans? On the tele!

Not Medical Advice: Human homeostasis refers to the body's ability to physiologically regulate its inner environment to ensure its stability in response to fluctuations in the outside environment and the weather.

Diarrhea Disruption of Homeostasis:

When someone has diarrhea, peristalsis speeds up and feces move through too fast resulting to too little water absorbed. When the large intestine can't absorb water we become dehydrated.

Constipation Disruption of Homeostasis:

When someone is constipated, peristalsis slows making feces move through too slowly and too much water is absorbed.
