Erosion or damage to the nose’s structure is caused by the loss of blood supply to the septum (the thin dividing wall between your nostrils) due to grunting of the substance.
Facial sores, scratches, and scars is caused by “cocaine bugs” – a sensation of bugs biting, burning or itching their skin which, in turn causes them to scratch and pick at their skin until it bleeds.
