As per IMDb, she was given legalized parental guardianship over a pre-tēen boy named Calvin Arliss after his mother, a drug addict and alcoholic named Vivian Arliss, fled the city. However, Vivian took him back and shipped Calvin off to Vermont to live with his father’s parents.
Olivia Benson is played by actress Mariska Hargitay. When she’s not working on SVU, Hargitay is busy with her family and various causes. She has three children: son August, adopted daughter Amaya adn adopted son Andrew.
