Do you get paid to host the oscars, Emmys, Grammys or the golden globes
Yes, stars get paid to host award shows such as the Golden Globes, Grammys, and the Academy Awards. It's not much, however.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2007 a network executive states that hosts make close to $15,000 along with expenses and fees for their writing staff. The small amount is not a problem because stars are just as happy with the national exposure they get from hosting.
Billy Crystal hosted the 2012 Academy Awards, it was his 9th time hosting the show.
