Can sterilite containers withstand boiling water?

Sterilite food storage are microwave safe. They are commonly made of polypropylene which has a melting point of 170°C (338°F).

The boiling point of water is 100°C or 212°F, therefore Sterilite food storage can withstand it. But be cautious as the lids are often made of somewhat more flexible. Very high water temperatures may warp the lids.
