What happened to bob Clarks missing finger

In an interview on Off the Record, Bobby Clarke said that he had broken a tendon in his finger. When the tendon was sewn back together, it turned his finger into a hook, so it was removed. Early in his childhood, Clarke was diagnosed with diabetes. Hockey scouts were originally skeptical of Clarke’s ability to play, due to his diabetes.
