Elon Musk is the founder of SpaceX (2002) and Tesla Motors (2003). He made headlines in May 2012 when SpaceX launched a rocket that would send the first commercial vehicle to the International Space Station.
He is very intelligent. As per Business Insider, he was so focused on his schoolwork that his mother would check on him to make sure he was eating and changing his socks every day.
According to SpaceX co-founder Jim Cantrell, once Elon has a goal, his next step is to learn as much about the topic at hand as possible from as many sources as possible. He has a real applied mind. He literally absorb or take in the knowledge and experience out of people that he is around.
One major important distinction that sets him apart is his inability to consider failure. He cannot conceive of failure and that is truly remarkable.
It doesn’t matter if it’s going up against the banking system (Paypal), going up against the entire aerospace industry (SpaceX) or going up against the US auto industry (Tesla). He can’t imagine NOT succeeding and that is a very critical trait that leads him ultimately to success.
