Anna Kendrick’s father is William K. Kendrick. He's a school teacher and mother Janice is an insurance accountant. She also has a brother, Michael Cooke Kendrick. Kendrick credits her father for keeping her grounded when he homeschooled her while she was on Broadway as a child.
Born in Portland, Maine on August 9, 1985, Anna Kendrick, received a Tony nomination for her work in the Broadway musical "High Society" in 1998. Kendrick debuted on the silver screen in 2003's "Camp". She starred in "Rocket Science" in 2007 and she landed a role in "Twilight" in 2008. Reprising her role, she acted in the sequels "New Moon", "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn Part 1". Kendrick earned raves for her job in "Up in the Air" in 2009. She also acted in the popular musical comedy Pitch Perfect (2012).
