USA has has more land mass than Europe.

The area of the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) is 9,161,923 km2, while the area of Europe is 3,788,027 km2. The United States is almost two and a half times the size of the European Union.

To give a sense of size, Kegler Press created a map on which each state in the U.S. is individuated from the nation as a whole and then laid out over a European country of approximately the same land mass.
