The Star 69 (*69 "automatic callback") function has been made available in Illinois in 1989, but has only been widely used nationally for almost two years.
*69 feature stores the number of the last person who called you and gives you the option of phoning back the caller automatically. It is a standard feature included in your home phone service, such that of AT&T.
