What is cosmetology evit?

Cosmetology is the study and application of beauty treatments, it includes services such as skin care, electrology, manicures, pedicures, hairstyling, and cosmetics.

EVIT (the East Valley Institute of Technology) offers a 1,600 hour, 4 semester course in cosmetology; each class is 4 hours long, and students may be required to provide their own transportation.

Students learn about skin, hair, and nail care, and are taught about chemicals used for hair coloring, as well as cutting hair, client safety, customer relations, and hygiene in a classroom setting. Students eventually progress to a clinic salon that's open to the public (but offers reduced prices).
