Tim "Youngblood" Chapman is shown as a single parent in season eight of the A&E reality series Dog the Bounty Hunter because his ex-wife Davina left him after she filed for divorce on January 26, 2009. Reportedly, she became pregnant in another relationship.
Tim Chapman regularly appeared in episodes of the first four seasons of Dog the Bounty Hunter. He says he was not seen on the show from season five to the season seven episode "Mister Mom", which aired on April 14, 2010, in order to better care for his four children.
On May 21, 2012, A&E canceled Dog the Bounty Hunter after eight seasons. Episodes began airing in syndication on September 16, 2013.
As Dog the Bounty Hunter was ending, it was announced that Country Music Television (CMT) were going to debut "Dog and Beth: On the Hunt".
In the show's Season 3 finale which aired August 22, 2015, Dakota had a falling out with his father Leland, who subsequently moved to Alabama. This led to Duane and Beth leaving CMT, taking with them the production rights of Dog and Beth: On the Hunt. This had the effect of cancelling the show, though CMT may not have agreed with the decision.
Since leaving CMT last fall, Duane Chapman and his wife Beth have been making headlines for their involvement lobbying against bail agent reform. Beth Chapman was elected to serve as the president of National Bail Bonds Association.
