Lila McCann, the country singer who made her debut at age sixteen with the single "Down Came a Blackbird", took some time off to raise her two children.
She now lives in Nashville with her 3 dogs, her husband Mike and their sons Abraham Elliot, who was born on December 15, 2008, and Benjamin born on December 6, 2011.
Lila's single "Down Came A Blackbird", from her debut album ‘Lila’, went on to be certified Platinum and the highest selling album for a new artist in 1997.
Lila charted 12 more singles over the next decade, including the iconic hit ‘I Wanna Fall In Love’ and ‘With You’ (which also climbed Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart), along with ‘Crush’ and ‘Come A Little Closer’.
Her album ‘Something In The Air’ achieved Gold Record status in 2000. ‘To Get Me To You’ from the film Hope Floats was on the soundtrack album that was a 2x Platinum seller.
In addition to her music career, Lila has appeared in a number of TV shows, including ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’.
