What does ''OPP. AVG'' mean on an MLB pitcher's atats?

OPP AVG means Opponents’ Batting Average.

According to MLB, to get the AVG, divide the total number of hits allowed by the pitcher by the total number of opponent at-bats. For example, if Curt Schiling allows 237 hits in 967 opponent at-bats, his opponents' batting average is .245 (237/967).
