what always runs but never walks, often murmurs, never talks, has a bed but never sleeps, has a mouth but never eats?

The answer is River!

Rivers normally begin as a trickle of water high in mountains or hills. Some come from melting snow or rainwater. Most arise from underground streams, formed after rain or snow seeps into the ground then bubbles back to the surface. As the water flows down, the trickle swells into a stream and then, as side streams called tributaries join it, into a wider river.

Just in! In don't-even-think-about-it news, a man who wanted to prove he could swim across the Detroit River from Canada to the U.S. ended up prompting an international rescue operation. The intoxicated individual actually made it across, and was swimming back when he was picked up by authorities. Learn more at CBS Detroit.
