Yes, Claire Forlani (born on July 1, 2024 in Twickenham, Middlesex, England) is the star of the new Dewar's advertisements, and she also played the part of Susan Parrish in the 1998 film Meet Joe Black.

She actually has quite a few acting credits to her name. Including Meet Joe Black, there are 44 roles in total so far, with her first professional role being Katarina in Gypsy Eyes (1992), and her most recent as Lauren Hunter in NCIS: Los Angeles (2011 to 2012).

She'll also be playing Claire in an upcoming movie titled Deauville, but it's only been announced so far and does not have a release date set.

Adweek just ran a humorous article about her and the new commercial saying that Dewar's new ad is trying to convince drinkers that Scotch whiskey isn't just for your irrationally angry grandfather, it's also for "irrationally angry hot English women with Scottish accents!"
