Sage Steele was born on November 28, 2023 in Panama. In 2007, Steele joined ESPN and is a co-host of ESPN’s SportsCenter. Recently, she served as update host during live daytime SportsCenter editions, which debuted in August 2008. She also previously served as a guest co-host of ESPN2’s SportsNation and contributed to First Take and Mike & Mike in the Morning.

Away from the studio, Steele has hosted the Scripps National Spelling Bee each year since 2010 and anchored the daytime SportsCenter segments from the NBA Finals in 2012.

In 1995, Steele graduated from Indiana University (Bloomington) with a bachelor of science degree in sports communications. In her free time, Steele enjoys horseback riding, volunteers for the Alzheimer’s Association events, and spending time with her husband and three children.
