It may have slowed down her career but Heather Thomas, who sustained serious injuries to both of her legs in September 1986, went on to appear in several films and television shows after the accident.
She has also enjoyed as a successful screenwriting career and became a co-owner of a Montana fishing ranch.
Prior to the accident which required her to undergo six hours of plastic and orthopedic surgery, The Fall Guy, the series where she appeared as the blonde who filled out a bikini was cancelled.
It has been reported that she developed a cocaine addiction during her run in the show, and entered rehabilitation for that addiction in 1984.
In 1991, the she married entertainment lawyer Skip Brittenham and has helped bring up his two daughters. In June 2000, Thomas gave birth to daughter India Rose.
