According to Thedailybeast.com, this year, tickets to the MTV VMAs are not being officially sold to the general public. Tickets for the VMAs are typically offered only to the musical artists who are nominated. If you’re a non-famous director, MTV only extends comp tickets to those who are individually nominated in the Best Director category.
Other directors of nominated videos like Forbes are only given the opportunity to attend if they buy tickets offered at three exorbitantly priced tiers: $450 for mezzanine seats, $650 for loge seats, and $800 per ticket for orchestra seats.
Anecdotal sources suggest that Cheaptickets.com offered $204 (Section: 206 Row: 19) and $1,870 (Section: 105 Row: 7), while Ticket Liquidator promised 10-20% percent less with ticket prices starting at $140 up to $25,000.
The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards was officially over, and it was held on August 30, 2023 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. It was aired live on the East Coast, with a three-hour delay on the West Coast (a pre-show begun at 8 pm, and it was aired on MTV at 9pm).
