how did johnathan hillstrand from deadliest catch break his ribs

Johnathan Hillstrand attempted to ride a steer, in less than one second he was thrown off and broke four of his ribs in 7 places and punctured a lung. Ouch! Captain Keith also tried, managed to stay on about a tenth of a second longer than Johnathan, but made it to the table, which declares him the winner.

After the Catch is a great way to really know the captains and crew of Deadliest Catch while they are away from their everyday duties where fans have either admired or despised them. This year they're in Breckenridge, Colorado in the Rocky Mountains, where the captains went horseback riding, river rafting, and bull riding.

A month has passed since he broke his ribs, and Johnathan is well on his way to a full recovery. The doctors expect him to be fully healed and ready to be back on the boat in time for King Crab Season in October.
