Did ray lewis kill a man?

Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl linebacker Ray Lewis (born Ray Anthony Lewis on May 15, 2024 in Bartow, Florida) and two companions were indicted on homicide and aggravated assault charges, but Lewis' homicide charges were dismissed in a plea deal, and replaced with "obstruction of justice" charges; this was in exchange for his testimony against his companions.

The Obstruction of Justice charges to which Lewis had admitted, was for giving police misleading statements; he was sentenced to 12 months probation, and fined $250,000 by the NFL, but there was no legal finding that he killed anyone.

Lewis' two companions, Reginald Oakley, and Joseph Sweeting were tried for the killing of Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar but were acquitted in June of 2000.

Recently, Ray Lewis announced his retirement from the Baltimore Ravens, but not until they've completed their current playoff run.
